(誤)A box of eggs are on the table.

(正)A box of eggs is on the table.(主語(yǔ)a box是單數(shù)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)。)

3、中文：他的一家人都喜愛(ài)音樂(lè)。

(誤)His family is fond of music.

(正)His family are fond of music.(集合名詞family在本句是指全家人，是復(fù)數(shù)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)。)

4、中文：我的朋友們來(lái)了。

(誤)Here comes my friends.

(正)Here come my friends.(主語(yǔ)my friends是復(fù)數(shù)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)，本句的一般語(yǔ)序是My friends come here.。)

5、中文：咖啡加牛奶是她最喜歡的飲料。

(誤)Coffee and milk are her favourite drink.

(正)Coffee and milk is her favourite drink.(coffee and milk習(xí)慣上被視為一個(gè)整體，是單數(shù)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)。)

6、中文：他們每個(gè)人有一本字典。

(誤)They each has a dictionary.

(正)They each have a dictionary.(主語(yǔ)they是復(fù)數(shù)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)，each是修飾語(yǔ)。)

(誤)His trousers is new.
