一、在口語(yǔ)中，有時(shí)可省略句中的連系動(dòng)詞。如：

How you doing? 近況如何?

說(shuō)明：you 前省去了are，特別是在美國(guó)英語(yǔ)中。

三、承前省略連系動(dòng)詞。如：

四、在報(bào)紙標(biāo)題中也通常省去連系動(dòng)詞。如：

Arrests up for Economic Crimes 因經(jīng)濟(jì)犯罪而被逮捕之人數(shù)上升

說(shuō)明：Johnson后省去連系動(dòng)詞is。

五、whatever與however引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語(yǔ)從句可省去連系動(dòng)詞，如：

I refuse, however favourable the conditions. 不管條件如何有利，我都不干。

說(shuō)明：conditions后省去了are。

In our company, every body is well taken care of, no matter what his position (is). 在我們公司，每個(gè)人都得到很好的照顧，不管他地位如何。
