There are many ways of attaining education at all levels Many high schools, colleges, or adult schools as well as business & industrial institutions offer noncredit daytime or evening classes in dozens of fields & skills.

It is reported that about 120 million Chinese participate in different forms of adult education through schools, job training, or correspondence courses.

About one in ten Chinese adults participate in an organized-learning group each year. In recent years, there has been a trend to bring in older students for post-secondary education degree. Colleges & universities, both public & private, offer what is now called” continuing education” programs, or “l(fā)ifelong education” programs of associate degrees, graduates studies or professional development.

Under such a system, a worker may continue his study even on a part-time basis, & a retired person may return to college at an advanced age.
